If you plan to host a bridal shower, you must be a little creative. There can be hundreds of bridal shower games to choose from. Some are serious, some are silly but of course the objective is to have fun with the bride before she gets married.
One game that you should not omit is to test her knowledge about her husband-to-be’s life. Before the party, get someone to ask the groom some questions about his personal background such as his birthplace, his favorite food, his first school and things like that. Then, during the bridal shower ask her these questions and see whether she can get at least half of the answers correct. If she does, she deserves a prize.
One all-time favorite game is toilet paper wedding dresses. This is how you play the game; you must have 2 teams. Each team must have at least 2 persons and maximum 5 persons. Give each team a roll of toilet paper and get them fashion a wedding dress out of the toilet paper. One of the team member will be the model. Provide them with a “dress up trunk” filled with shoes and jewelry. They must make the dress out of the toilet paper but they can use the provided jewelry, shoes, gloves and hats as the accessories. Give them 5 minutes to do their job and after that get the bride to vote for the winner. Don’t forget to give the winner a prize.
Another interesting game is the blindfold game. Get her to wear her wedding dress while blindfolded. Tell her that she must prepare for her wedding night when the power has completely gone off. No help from audience please, just give her the items and let her prepare herself while completely blindfolded. Include some funny items such as garden gloves or oversized sunglass just to make fun of it. Make sure to take her photo, this will be her lifetime remembrance.
Another fun game is to get everyone involved. About half an hour in the party, ask the bride to leave the room and distribute a piece of paper to everybody. Get everybody to jot down everything they can remember about the bride such as the color of her shirt, her hairstyle, brand of the shoes she is wearing, etc. Give a prize to the winner with the best observation skills.
There are many other games that you can think of. Just be creative and remember that the whole purpose is to have fun together as friends.
